Mine flooded, had a capacitor turn into a resistor, Started giving bad deco numbers, and lost half it's numbers. Returned twice. Took @ 2 months to get back both times. Owned 2 years. Dove 6 day's. Not Happy. Had it back about 2 months now. One dive so far. Worked to 50ft. Whoopee. Even sent it out for a guy who knows more then anybody does on the unit. He had no deco problems. But half the display quit at 100ft or so. Deco fine. I get it. Try it again before sending back because HS wasn't home to fix it. And it dies at 3 ft. Flood. Saw water drops on the clear screen.Black case version Oh, I live in US. So, not a long time to ship either.. But 2 months from them receiving it and me getting it back. Usually enough time so it would be 3 months till I would use it again. Ate about 5 batteries. in the process at $10 a piece. So, not happy. |

He ended up changing the mold, makeing a specific area a bit thicker and easier to flow the material during molding, and the injection shop has to control the temperature a bit tighter than they normally do...Black case version Oh, I live in US. Having had several over the years, both without and more recently with, the O2 cell connector, Some have had an unusually high rate of issues with water ingress. In each case, it seems to have been issues with QC on the cases, as opposed to poor design. Either way, it's been a real pain as there have been some waiting periods for service that were caused by the case issues. Apparently, molded cases that can stand those depths are not all that easy to produce reliably. Once the issue was sorted out, I never had another moment's proplem. I found Gene to do everything he could to make things right. There are things overwhich he has no immediate control, I'm sure he was as frustrated at not being able to produce product as I was at not having it to dive with while unacceptable cases were being retooled. My latest iterations, both computer and PO2 meter are doing just fine and as Joe points out, it looks like the problem is rectified. Darlene |
