| Re: New Liquivision X1 Battery Policy ! If you want to use numbers, you should use the correct numbers. The Liquivision is currently selling at $1750.00. Yes, but it doesn't work too well unless you put some software on it. ![]()

| Re: New Liquivision X1 Battery Policy ! Sorry, Not trying to change the subject but Deep Sea Supply, makes an excellent rubber housing that attaches to the X-1, it uses bungee cord. You can then mount it on your arm higher or lower. I found that the standard watch style band, the one that the unit comes with constantly keeps getting loose.

The only problem I found with the Deep Sea Supply mount is that you have to remove the computer from the mount to charge it, which is a bit fiddly and annoying. It is good to have a depth compensating mount though. Cheers, Ben. |

It is good to have a depth compensating mount though. It takes all of 5 seconds. I think annoying is a little strong. It just pops in and pops outs. The X1 comes with a nice strap but a usual DSS improves it.Cheers, Ben.

| Re: New Liquivision X1 Battery Policy ! I beg to differ with your statement. I am one of those older folks and the Shearwater Pursuit is a dream to read for my tired eyes and Shearwater also has exceptional customer service. No question in my mind, the Pursuit is also at the top of the heap. I just liked the small size of the X1. I think it's truly terrific that I have two great dive computer manufacturers in my back yard!It seems like there are currently 2 great computers out there right now that users are very excited about, the Shearwater Pursuit and the X1. The true test is time and only time will tell which one ends up on top of the pile. Isn't it great that we have a couple of good choices. I stand corrected that the total cost of the Liquivision should include software. I shouldn't have jumped into a numbers game. I quess my point was that for me, a cost benefit analysis never comes into the decision process. I mainly look for features and what I believe to be value for the money. |
