![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: How many diving X1's what's the verdict ? Well, we have, haven't we ? It's not standalone (yet ?) but I guess that the Sentinel's primary is kind of the new version of the VR3 in some way (a new CCR focused - supporting one rebreather Trimix color upgrade to the VR3). HiI heard roumers that the handset on the Sentinel will enter the market later as a stand alone computer named the VRX. Only heard it from one source though, so it could just be roumers... /Christian

| French Erik Current Rebreather/s: | Re: How many diving X1's what's the verdict ? Well, here we go, the VR3 HD is out. Not quite the Sentinel controller or form factor. I wonder how "Faster and more user-friendly screen navigation process" is really improved because the awful UI is really my main problem with the VR3. That and its unreliability of course. VR3 and VR2 Dive computer from Delta P Technology I wonder if existing (2007) VR3 are upgradable to the new software... |

![]() ![]() | Re: How many diving X1's what's the verdict ? To be fair. My VR3 was very reliable, however the UI was the pits - on surface and underwater. It was slow to react to button pushes. It ate batteries. It was big. It's decompression algorithm was too conservative. Sometimes minutes seemed to run long on stops, and not just because I was bored. I was never really happy with it. With few exceptions, my x1 is everything the vr3 wasn't. Really an exceptional piece of gear. Offgas |

Yes it is, actually any version of VR3's are upgradable it is only a matter of price. The older your VR3 is the more you pay!I do not have the prices with me, but I think the upgrade from a 2007 model is around GBP 150 Cheers,
