Shearwater HUD problem

Has anyone experienced problems with the on/off switch of the Shearwater HUD ?

A couple of weeks ago after a dive, mine refused to switch off but would respond to the calibrate pushes. I had to pull out the battery to get it to switch off but the following morning it was all ready on when I took it out of it's crate and it refused to calibrate or switch off.

Eventually I removed the battery before it drained it completely.

Is there anything that can be done with it or does it require a trip to Canada ?

If I were you, I would consider asking the manufacturer.

Haha! That's usually a good first step. Well, that or bother your previous instructor as mine knows all too well.

Yes, just wondered if there was anything I could do to fix the HUD.

Re: Shearwater HUD problem

We have been waiting to get a loaner back so we can send it to you. Yours is deceased I'm afraid.

I guess I should have updated you.

Narked @ 90 should have it soon.
