Flipping Shearwater

I intend to use my shearwater with a 4th cell monitor and strap it to my right arm.

I remember reading that you can flip the screen for this purpose but I have not been able to find any documentation on it. I wouldn't imagine it would be in the GF manual since I think this is a new feature.

So I got brave and unscrewed the cover but the wires are way too short to flip the display.

Has anyone flipped the screen on the shearwater successfully? If so how did you do it?

Thanks in advance.

Thom

Re: Flipping Shearwater

Flip screen is an option in the 'setup' menu. Or somewhere like that. Have a hunt around as it does exist on Pursuits: I've used it when diving OC and it works a treat!

cheers

Andy

Re: Flipping Shearwater

Turn the Pursuit on, then press the left button (about 6 times) until "System Setup+" is displayed. Press the right button once, "Conserv 30/85" or similar will show, then press the left button 5 more times and you'll see "Flip Screen? YES" and hit the right button to flip. The screen will immediately flip and now the Button functions also flip. Very cool.

Have fun.

Grant.

Didn't think it would be that easy. At least I know what it looks like inside now.

Too bad the GF doesn't seem to have this feature. I'm really used to wearing my monitor on my right arm.
