Your system of just tieing in bungies is genius! I intend to steal it immediately.
Great video

What lovely calm sea, haven't seen one like that recently

Couldn't beleive it when I picked up one for a mate there so small.
yep lost mine twice beneath all the other gear in the box about the only disadvantage I could report until now, though.

Nice video Andrew - what kind of camera?

As far as the X1, is it every too bright?
brightness as everything else like sensitivity to the taps, size of letters, display orientation.. is adjustable in the software.

Re: Liquivision X1 review

I have 3 units at this point. 2 running v planner and one running GAP.
Very impressed! What I like the most is how well the programmers responds to our requests on the software! Ross from v planner has been very fast on that I must say. Got the barometric pressure reading sorted in a week.

Sold 3 of my 4 vr3's. Think the last one is also getting the boot, tired of the fact that you have to send crap in for software upgrades when you have hinted at the internet capability to do this.

The strap is the only thing that gets me down, ordered 5 vr3 straps to stick through my units, that is the ONE thing I always liked about vr3 !

You should try Deep Sea Supply's bungie mount. It is really great.

I had a Dive Rite Cinch Strap on mine and replaced it. I was always fearful of loosing my Vr3 with the quick release strap.

I'll second that. The DSS mount for the X-1 is a perfect fit. It's east to remove and put back in for cleaning and downloading Also safe while diving, you'll never lose it.

Marc,

How is your X1 holding up now? I seem to remember that you had a display issue in cold water.

The unit was promptly replaced and is working fine. Unfortunately it was not exposed to water temperature colder than 3C. Air temps sub zero (C) where seen a few times.

I have had zero issue with that new unit.
