Whats The Best Why To Clean Plastic.

The plastic lense on my vytec is getting pretty un see through ...
Any advice please on cleaning it / removing scratches ?

You can buy a replacement for about $5.00.

Hi pat
New screen not available to me here.
If i buy abroad i will have to pay postage, customs tax and import duty .

Norwegian customs open many import parcels.. they charge to open anything is 160 kr .. $15 ish.
Kinda worth me cleaning glass untill i go on Holiday

Go to a local plastic shop (sign maker etc) They can probably polish it for you

My local motorbike shop had a paste for polishing out scratches in screens, might be worth trying.

Is it the inner or the outer safety glas that is scratched? The outer one is replaceble. If it's the inner one you could probobly use some typ of scratch remover for car paint or for Ipods and cameras...

Automotive parts stores now have a product to polish the plastic lense of headlights. It is inexpensive, works very well, and has enough to do your cover several times.

Regardless of what product you try, remember to test it on a small area first!

Use brasso gently it's pretty good at getting scratches out of plastic i've used it on mobile phone screens a few times

Brasso n scotch pads done the trick.. thanks sparky

Sat with scotch pads n brasso cleanng away.. sort of brought memories back.
I used to hate cleaning bright work !!
