Didnt mind the beasting .. the fear off bootys with paint brushes was worse !!

Check that it's not just a build up of salty residue on the underside of the screen. You can pop the plastic screen-guard off, give it a wash and see if that helps things.

I found out from Ikelite that they use Novus Plastic Polish. It comes in three "grits" and will polish everything from moderate scrathes to daily cleaning needs. I was able to polish out some nasty hazing on a uw wide angle camera lense!
