mate, i will give you a tip, but i dont take the blame for it.

once a friend of mine has found a suunto computer on the bottom of the seabed while diving. it just wouldn't stop showing the error sign because it was left there for ages.

he put it in the fridge top part (freezer )for a day and then he took it out and it was reset. i dont know why, but a friend of his told him that once it reaches such cold temperatures, its inside software stops to work and actually freezes.

so, before you decide to throw those 500 Euros, give it a try. maybe that fridge will save you the money. and if it works, make sure you send some beer in Cyprus

Take care.

Its actually because the error electrons are slowed down by the cold and the reset electrons can catch up and pass them.

Enjoy your Beer.

I hope you aren't using it with your KISS anyway. First, it's deco is waaaay to conservative, and second, it won't give you the right deco with CCR anyway.

Seriously, try getting a new kit from Suunto with a new o-ring, new battery, new seal. Have a Suunto dealer replace the battery for you. You may have put it in backwards, or not put the o-ring in right, or got a hair in the o-ring. It may have leaked. You never know, especially if it was working before hand.

Re: suunto vytec problem

No, no I´ve never use the vytec with the Kiss. I use a HS Explorer...
But should like use the suunto as a gauge and give it to a OC friend..
Or I´ll put it with my old ones..

Thanks
