| SW Pursuit Download Can't seem to get my dives to download to the HHS divelog programme. It all goes fine but then fails at the last point which is the data integrity check. It drops the wireless connection after the data is transferred but before the data integrity check. Is there a solution to this? Thanks. |

| Re: SW Pursuit Download The only time I've had a problem is when I had it sitting too close to the infra red dongle, I moved it a little further away and it worked fine. Good luck MyM

| Dive porn pimp ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: SW Pursuit Download What software version are you running? The infra red link is very reliable when no prismatic effects are encountered. Some screen guards (including ours) can interfere with the transmission. Placing the IR dongle a correct distance is one way to improve the reception, making sure your screen guard is cut away at the IR port point is another. Ensuring you have the latest software is the most important. We identified this and introduced some timing changes that have made the transfer extremely reliable. Brent

| I'm on Version 23 Ver 23 caused my Shearwater to not switchon any more. Had to take the battery out to reboot it. Latest version is Ver26...

| Re: SW Pursuit Download Thanks for all your replies. I have a number of things to try especially as I have the SW screen guard on it which is quite thick. Ross replied extremely quickly to my query - thanks Ross. This is his response (mods please remove if not appropriate to post it). I am posting it in case any other divers are having similiar problems: The recent Pursuits have a random bug in the data logging. Shearwater is working on a repair now. Contact them for updates on this. For now, ensure your using v 2.35 or later of the dive log manager. This version tries to correct for some of the log errors. However, its a random error in the logs, and so some logs may not be available to be recovered. Once the repaired firmware is available and installed from Shearwater, you still may have to record 20 hours of new dives, just to overwrite the existing defective dives in the log. |

| Re: SW Pursuit Download We have been aware of the problem with logging for several weeks. Some owners, I think 6, have been getting bad format in their dive log. Late last year our EEPROM chip was discontinued and the manufacturer replaced it with a "driver compatible" flash memory. Everything looked good during testing, but a few owners have had problems. We have had a problem with the computer rebooting after it had been off for a few days and we have spent a lot of time on that problem. Later on today we will be releasing a new version that has been in beta test for a few weeks and seems to have solved the problem. Unfortunately, the log problem has had to wait until the reset problem was fixed. The log writing fix will be next on our list after we get back from Beneath the Sea. All Pursuit owners should be getting an email this afternoon with a link to the new version. Bruce Partridge
