Question Hammerhead on both arms or VR3

Just wondered how you guys have your Hammerhead computers setup.

Got the Hammerhead Delrin with deco on both handsets and Vr3 on a 4th cell

Can't make my mind up:

Do I have both HH controls on my arms with the VR3 further up my left arm?
Do I have the HH on my left arm, Vr3 on the right arm, other HH cliped on?
Both HH on my arms and VR3 clipped on?

The HH is my prime deco, the VR3 is to check the cells.

I know everyone is different etc. Thanks

Re: Hammerhead on both arms or VR3

Do you really need the vr3?

If you feel that you do, i would keep one hh clipped on the harness.

Re: Hammerhead on both arms or VR3

I stuff the secondary in the handset pocket DR makes, on my left side, after setting the setpoint (usually 1.0), then adjust the primary's setpoint up as I descend/get to depth (to lower the PO2 spike)...then I just watch the HUD and primary handset (on my left wrist). Don't see the need for a third computer, as the Delrin handsets have deco in both, just another cable to get in the way/snag, etc....if I see a discrepancy I just pull out the secondary and do some comparison. I've also removed the long cpg hoses and put the cpg's on 6" hoses in the back under the cover. I don't need to see them, as I run dual O2 Aluminum 20's onboard, and dual 40's or 80's (depending on whether cave, OW or deep) with dil/bailout offboard, all connected by high flow Omni q.d's and in-line shutoffs. Give's me 40 cu. ft. of O2, plus at least 80 cu. ft. of dil....and if I can't get O2 boosted, I can transfill both AL 20's from a T-cylinder and get 2000 psi or so in each, giving me at least 22-28 cu. ft. of O2 anyway. AND, if I lose an O2 bottle to o-ring failure, or reg. first stage issues, I can plug in the 2nd O2 bottle and fly manual, eliminating the need to go SCR in the case of a long cave exit or long deco......keeps the deco much more manageable.

Re: Hammerhead on both arms or VR3

I have a HammerHead on each wrist. I used to keep the secondary in the belt pocket, but found it to be tricky getting it out with a deco bottle on that side too. I don't use a VR3 since the secondary has deco also.

Re: Hammerhead on both arms or VR3

HH Primary on my left wrist, HH Secondary in the Dive Rite Pocket on my belt on the right side and my VR3 on my right wrist.

I realize that I have the option of activating my HH Secondary and eliminating the need for the VR3, but I like having the 4th cell and VPM deco calculations on the VR3.
