![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Idiot with a Shearwater Pt4 Inevitable really... ![]() Anyone else have trouble getting theirs to switch off? I'm presuming there is a wet contact somewhere which the software uses to disable the "Turn Off" menu option whilst underwater. It took a good four hours or so to get the option to return (including a 1hr drive with it sat on top of my windscreen demister), it switched off then decided to turn itself on again later. It was only when I got to where I could give it a soak in freshwater that I got it to turn off again. Nice computer but there are a few little software niggles that are starting to p*ss me off.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Idiot with a Shearwater Pt4 Inevitable really... Rinse the wetswitch in fresh water (on the back of the unit) - usually does the trick. If this doesn't work, then just blow on the wetswitch to clear the water trapped.![]() Anyone else have trouble getting theirs to switch off? | CK+Shearwater ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Idiot with a Shearwater Pt4 I've seen this complaint a couple of times, never had it myself. The contacts are against the strap on mine which I assumed would hold the water but I've always checked it before stowing it away after a dive and not had it stay on.... I suspect there is some variation in the wet contacts.

In the new series, the Pursuit does not act upon wet switches it uses pressure to activate. Less than 1/2m depth kicks it in.![]() Anyone else have trouble getting theirs to switch off? Only the setpoint controllers use the wetswitch in conjunction with the pressure switch. The setpoint controllers also have a 0.19 surface mode on some variants to prevent "niggles". Like I said, any problems, give me a shout. Brent
