HH Deco - VR3 Deco

Sorry this has probably been asked before but I can't find it.

How do I set my HH (new delrin) to match the VR3 Deco?
Or the VR3 to match the HH Deco

Also what setting would V-Planner need to match up to the HH?

Thanks

I think the best is conservatism number 3 (85/25 GF). It tracks pretty closely on air dives, and gives what I consider "minimum deco" for trimix dives. Even on this setting, I find that it clears 20-25 minutes before my VR3 on 100 meter dives (total of about 1.5 hours deco).

Aloha,
Charlie

Re: HH Deco - VR3 Deco

When you figure it out, please let me know! I've never been able to get my HH and my VR3 to sync up.

Lately, I've set my HH to a GF of 25/85. I then set my VR3 with the 4th cell to VPM Model and a Safety of 0, then I set the deco option to the 10ft stop.

That has been the closest I have been able to get them, without bumping up the HH to be any more conservative, which I do not want to do, because I use the HH as my primary and the VR3 with the 4th cell as my backup.

With the above setting, I usually can keep the numbers reasonably close, but when I start my ascent and my respective stops, the HH has been giving me more credit than the VR3 and I end up with considerably more time on the VR3.

Unfortunately, I often end up violating the VR3, because everyone else is done and I'm still hanging there trying to make the VR3 happy.

Hope that helps.

Re: HH Deco - VR3 Deco

I had my old metal hand sets set to 10/90, seemed to be similar to others VR£'s limited deco the only major differance was the VR£'s first deep stop.
On 30m to 40m dives much the same short stop's.
50m dive VR£ had a deeper first stop but the rest of deco tracked much the same.
These were only air dil, just getting in to the good gas this year with new hand sets.

You won't, because they are two completely different deco programs.
I chose to go with the HH deco backed up with a set of laminated tables created using DDplan.
This allows you to choose idenitcal GF's & gasses to the HH.
You can switch over to the deco tables at any point during the dive.
Don't mix VR3 deco profiles with GF one's during a dive, as there can be quite a time difference between them.
Use one or the other.

At the end of the day it's up to you which deco program you use.
Best to go with the setup you feel happier with, after all we are all different.
