| Re: Shearwater Pursuit You can search old threads here or on the deco stop --- I haven't used it but I have only read positive things, not a single negative. Sounds like a great product. Eric Fattah Liquivision Products |

| Re: Shearwater Pursuit The only issue so far that I've had with mine is that the computer has lost date/time a few times. I would also like to see Shearwater produce a manual for the Pursuit in the near future. Other than that I am very pleased with mine. I find the computer very easy to use and understand. Everything is pretty much straight forward. // Blomman |

| One a VR3 and a Pursuit from Shearwater. I like the Pursuit, simple, intuitive, has all 3 cell reading and a nice deco software. Great computer. |

Negatives, you should buy my VR3. ![]() What are positives and negatives points of this computer ? ![]() It's very simple to use, to setup and dive. I find it easier to read underwater, yet I never had any issues with the VR: it's just better. I too have had the date and time reset, but you get a warning this has happened.

| Re: Shearwater Pursuit I have decided not to replace the very reliable Apecs controller on my Meg rig. So I am thus deciding between a Shearwater (computer only) or X1. I hope to pass by the SW place, and see it for myself. Currently leaning towards the X1 because of my poor Uw vision. I have had disappointing performance from my VR3 (2.01?? older version), but very good support from DeltaP. I hope their newer versions have proven more reliable. |

| Re: Shearwater Pursuit The Shear water Pursuit is a lovely compact version of the excellent GF. I have had no problems with diving it and I think its operation and range of functions is excellent. The only alteration id make is to enlarge the PP02 numbers (sort of bold print) and provide a bailout accelerated deco schedule on the OC. There are some annoying programing issues with the Pursuit that i didn't suffer with on the old GF brick. Tissue resets and loss of date / time seems to be the only remaining issue all of the previous ones have been sorted by Internet link upgrade. Whilst the issues have never affected me in the water they do reduce confidence somewhat as you wonder how the bug affects other aspects of the decompression program. Hopefully it will be sorted soon. ATB Mark

| Whilst the issues have never affected me in the water they do reduce confidence somewhat as you wonder how the bug affects other aspects of the decompression program. Last time I emailed Bruce he said they were working on another patch for the 'watchdog errors' that cause the tissue clearing and time/date resets, as it now seems to ocur mainly in units that have been switched off for a length of time...Hopefully it will be sorted soon. I do wonder if I have a 'friday afternoon unit' .On my first two dives sofar that computer has not recorded any dive details at all. It 'knew' it had been in the water as the surface interval time and last max depth were correct, but there is no profile in the log and nothing to download. Most annoying that. Bruce said he had never come across this before, so... has this happend to anybody else? Anke

| Re: Shearwater Pursuit This far experienced: + very simple and straighforward to learn and use + clear display and adequate font size for senior eyes + really like the automatic back light - manual would be nice to get with the unit (GF manual available from SW site has some difference to Pursuit - allthough adequate to start up).
