![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Shearwater Pursuit As far as I know it is saltwater. If remember it correct the VR3 is also calibrated for saltwater. I did some tests with VR3, Shearwater and Hammerhead and max difference was less than 1 Meter. Hello Is there anyone who knows if the Pursuit is calibrated on freshwater and saltwater? The difference with the tec 2g on my computer is 3,2 m ( 10.5 ft) for 68m (222 ft) = 4.7% is the difference With the uwatec tec 2 g, you can choice fresh or salt water in the menu. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Shearwater Pursuit Hi, I found an email on my system from Bruce about fresh- and saltwater. He mentioned, that the Pursuit is not doing a fresh water correction. The difference between fresh and saltwater is around 3%. A computer calibrated in saltwater at 30 Meters will display a depth of 29 Meters in fresh water. Or a computer calibrated in freh water at 30 Meters will display 31 Meters in saltwater. If the computer is using the data from the pressure measurement for the decompression calculations the wrong displayed depths will have no impact. This information came from a Scubapro user manual. Hello, ![]() I will put my tec 2 g of salt water on the next dive to compare thank you for your answers |

The depth-calibration as such does not affect deco-calcs - only the displayed depth.Cam Nicolai
