Re: Shearwater Pursuit

Version 31 had a factory prompt turned on that shouldn’t be on in production versions.

The updates to date have the following enhancements;

1. Bug fix. Occasional watchdog resets when the computer has been off for a few days
2. Bug fix. Log problems, some computers did not store logs correctly.
3. Bug fix. Occasional double button pushes that sometimes happen due to peizo button sensitivity.
4. Bug fix. Reset when in standby mode fixed.
5. Enhancement. Auto backlight thresholds changed.
6. Enhancement. Load upgrade more user friendly.

This is a list that does not include proprietory enhancements for controllers supplied to OEM manufacturers. Most of the updates released are for our benefit (controller users) rather than Pursuit owners.
Each time you see an update, it may be to incorporate a change for our controller such as a splash screen or additional menu functions rather than bug fixes. A lot goes on behind the scenes, we try to keep Bruce busy because we know if we dont, he will only go and enjoy himself doing something like diving.....

Re: Shearwater Pursuit

Hello,

I have the response, thanks to Bruce.

"When you load Version 32, it still shows 31 because I didn’t change the number. As long as you get the “Update reset” message, the update is done."

Thanks all for your help

Re: Shearwater Pursuit

I should mention that the fix for the logs won't kick in until a log record is written to a new sector on the flash. The bug was related to the log flash erase-before-write routine.

In other words, it make take up to 45 minutes of diving before a start-dive record will actually work.

This bug happened after we were forced to change from an EEPROM to a Flash due to a part going end-of-life. They were supposed to be driver compatible, but actually weren't.

Re: Shearwater Pursuit

I haven't had that sort of error on my pursuit, but i have found it to be about 3-4 feet shallower then my uwatec BTs when diving in the 180 foot range.

Uwatec BTs are all calibrated for fresh water. Not sure if that helps.

Re: Shearwater Pursuit

Hello Is there anyone who knows if the Pursuit is calibrated on freshwater and saltwater?

The difference with the tec 2g on my computer is 3,2 m ( 10.5 ft) for 68m (222 ft)
= 4.7% is the difference

With the uwatec tec 2 g, you can choice fresh or salt water in the menu.
