| Calibration - Idiot with a Shearwater Pt2 I know, I know, RTFM... I've tried it but it doesn't help... I've wired my GF to one cell at the moment, I've gone through the calibration process, it reads what it should read, 0.99 in O2, 0.21 in air. Great. So why is the PO2 display flashing at me? I thought that was only when a cell had been voted out? There's only one cell and one PO2 reading, the mV reading is in range... I could understand it if it was set for 3 cells as two of the inputs are dead but it isn't, it's in single cell mode. What's the problem? The manual isn't too clear. Should it be flashing? If so, it's f***ing annoying! I never had this bother with my 15yr old Aladin Pro! Cheers, Stuart

| Re: Calibration - Idiot with a Shearwater Pt2 Hahahaha! Been there, done that too! Can there be two idiots using GF? IIRC, you can't calibrate using just one cell. However, even when you do have three cells, there's still some mystical button pushing to be done at the end to accept the calibration. I scratched my head for a bit on this too.

| CK+Shearwater Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Calibration - Idiot with a Shearwater Pt2 Page 21 of the manual explains that after you calibrate with only one sensor the GF will look at the two reading 0.0 and since your single sensor will be furthest "out" so it will be voted out and hence be flashing. After you leave calibration the system will "assume" you are in single sensor mode and ignore the other two readings (and stop flashing). That is of course assuming it works as written I have every faith in Bruce answering your questions, he's very patient!

I had 0.00, 0.21, 0.00 on display (all flashingThat is of course assuming it works as written I have every faith in Bruce answering your questions, he's very patient! ) then recalibrated so that it entered single cell mode as described in the manual. So I've got just 0.21 showing but... it's still flashing!I was wondering if it's because I'm using a 6-core cable from Tecme for a single cell system (I'm planning on having it monitor all three cells eventually) and it's generating some erroneous signals. I know nothing about electronics so it's probably bollocks. Cheers, Stuart

Ditto so I'll stop giving advice because it will be bollocks too, break out a cider and wait for Bruces wisdom. (we need an "opening cider" smilie please)
