| Re: Oceanic Integrated mask/computer on eBay I remember discussing this on RBW when the mask first came out. The Oceanic webpage is covered in pictures that make it sound like it turns the diver into a special forces commando: Oceanic Worldwide - Scuba and Snorkeling Gear, Scuba and Snorkeling Equipment and Dive Gear Unfortunately, you are stuck with the decompression algorithm it is loaded with. It handles air and nitrox, but not mix and not rebreathers, and it will only handle decompression "over 3-18m". Sounds like a Walter Mitty mask to me. It might be more interesting if the algorithm did a little more. In ideal world, what would you like on your mask? |

I would love to have at the minimum:- depth - time - PO2 and nice to have: - O2 pressure and really nice to have: - trimix deco info - diluent pressure and really, really nice to have but not in my lifetime: - solenoid firing indicator - movie for deco - with stereo sound |

| New Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Oceanic Integrated mask/computer on eBay I have been diving OC for about 20 years now (research, sat, hab, rec): I recently picked up the Aeris T3 and DataMask (HUD). They are great for EAN/Air and for monitoring my buddies (although the HUD only monitors one of the three transmitters). The HUD has been very nice for videography and phototography, with large groups, and pesky guides. Since I am starting training for eCCR, I thought I might still use the T3 in GAU Mode insted of SPGs , and probably link my Aeris HUD to my Bailout/diluent (or O2). I will have to see if I will be monitoring too much data, when I get a little further along. (Basics first, right?) I will post my experiences here. |
