![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Hammerhead requires a big hammer Sounds like a failed pressure transducer.. If its a delrin handset kevin has to swap it out.. This is the one thing that everyone using the intersema sensor has to deal with... These include but not limited to.. Vr3, Shewarwater, HH, X1.... Incorrect.... The Intersema sensor in the X1 is custom modified to drastically increase its strength & reliability. The main problem in the discontinued F1 (bottom timer) was the Intersema sensor, which was used 'as is' and of course would occasionally fail just like it fails in the other computers which use it. Finding a way to reinforce the sensor was a major breakthrough, and as it stands there have been zero failures of the 'reinforced' Intersema sensors in the X1.Nothing any of the manufacturers can do except swap parts.... Finding a way to reinforce the sensor was a major breakthrough, and as it stands there have been zero failures of the 'reinforced' Intersema sensors in the X1. Eric,Eric Fattah Liquivision Products Kevin has also been reinforcing the sensors for a while.. I'm not sure if he has seen any failures after he started reinforcing them.. even so... He has alot of units out there so even a 1% failure rate will have more than a handful of failures.. Without the reinforcement there were alot of random failures with the sensor.. The latest sensors from the factory seem to have been modified compared to previous ones.. Anyone using the sensors as is (not sure about the latest ones) will experience a higher than acceptable failure rate.. The biggest problem is the way the sensor is supposed to mount, its design lends itself to POTENTIAL failures but unfortunately there are no other real alternatives.. The fact is these are supposed to be 14bar absolute sensors with an overpressure around 30 bar so they should not need any fixes by the oem..

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Hammerhead requires a big hammer We have worked extensively with the folks at Intersema, addressing our concerns, and listening to their advice regarding our mounting methods. I would like to point out that once we completed this very worthwhile dialog, their sensors have performed very well for us, and are handling just about everything we ask of them. We continue to use their sensors in our products to this day. Kevin Juergensen Juergensen Marine, Inc. |

| Going Down? ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Hammerhead requires a big hammer Well, I got to go diving over the weekend (Key Largo with SCRUBS) with my own Hammerhead installed on my Optima. Kevin got it right, All went great. My longest deco to date and no issues. I thought that there was a problem, but found it to me my own stupidity (again, I am tired of that). on my last dive of the weekend with 10 minutes of deco left my HUD began to flash red (SP of 1.0, it should be 1 green flash). I quickly checked both handsets and found no problems, PO2 was steady at 1.0, batteries were good, scrubber time was fine. I just ignored the HUD and monitored my hansets much more closely for the rest of my deco. When I got home and looked things over I came to this conclusion. I was hanging in a rippin current and was using both arms. My right arm was wrapped around the line and my left hand was grasping the line near ,y right wrist. Anyway, with all the bumping around, my knuckles were hitting the handset buttons and changing all kinds of things. My GF, my diva mode were just a couple of them. Note to self: Jon line or keep away from handset buttons!!!
