Hi rachel, rachel interresting, it is of course normal to get sometimes bad sensor reading , we all know that sensor can fail, this their nature like ours to die sometime before their expected life and without warnings. what it not acceptable for is losing the sensor signal with good sensors just because of connexion.... this something I don't accept, it means that for the time being I consider my gauge as a piece of crap.... I'd really like that this poll it would be great if this poll could get a large number of votes just to be able to size the problem regards jean mi

| Re: loss of sensor signal Hi all, only 46 votes on this poll, if more Rebreather divers could vote it would provide the community with a larger info about this subject, Well on the other hand the results have already been rather stable to date. It appears that there is a majority of Rebreather divers stating that they faced no loss of signal nearly 60% others stating having loss the signal rarely. It is encourraging, it proves that the problems of connexion are not insurmoutable. By the way I recently got rig of my connectors to go to a potted metal cable glands solution , I just removed 2mm of wire jacket so that the epoxy resin sitcks on the metal and prevent the gas to go throught the cable glands, i tested under pressure the gas does not pass (test with helium 10 bars) . it seems that my probleme came from the lumbergs receptacle and from the various connectors I tried and tested. the humid gas certainely got into the connector causin an oxidation of the internal brass part of the connectors that I used. regards jean mi

| Going Down? Current Rebreather/s: | Re: loss of sensor signal Until this week end never. Now I have lost #3 on 7 of 7 dives. I worked out a system with my buddy to "tap" the head when the signal loss occurred and it would alwways reconnect. Or I smashed into the wreck I still have not found the problem. I have swapped #2 for my next dive to troubleshoot it.
