It looks like that is no problem for the Ray but I can't find weight for the Ray. Any idea what one would weigh with a 13cf tank? The Ray is not much more than a recreational BCD, a scrubber (1.25kg plus the weight of the plastic can), the cylinder, the regulator and the loop. No idea what the total would be, maybe 10kg max plus the cylinder? As mentioned though, lead must be taken into account. His limit is about 25 pounds top. My homebuilt is 22 pounds with 6cf tanks and a filled scrubber but I don't want to accept the responsability of selling one. Ron Schroeder

![]() | Re: Lightest Rebreather Or what about this one http://www.rebreatherworld.com/close...ebreather.html I won't choose the ray in SCR mode. You need to much lead with the full counter lungs. In CCR with 2x2l (or even 1l for O2) it would be nice. Cheers! Christian |

![]() | Re: Lightest Rebreather Thanks for the suggestions so far. Does anybody have the weight of the Ray and does it actually use the BC bladder as the CL? Ron |

![]() | Re: Lightest Rebreather Hi Christian, I see. The lungs are built into the BC jacket but seperate compartments. It looks like a SCR Ray with the properly selected bottle or a Ray converted to Kiss style mCCR with 6 CF bottles or smaller would suit his diving style and limitations best.

![]() | Re: Lightest Rebreather Hi Ron, yes, the lungs are seperate compartments. But you have to check if it's not to heave with lead. Hopefully I can make a trydive with the ray in two weeks. If I remember correctly my wife needs about 10kg of lead with the Ray in SCR mode. Maybe there will be some answers about the lead. http://www.rebreatherworld.com/semi-...y-weights.html Have you ask Holger (TR300) about the weight of the TR300sc? It should also be very light. Or maybe this one: Stingray CCR Cheers! Christian |

Radial filter, back mounted single counterlung. I used it wit 2,5 steel or 1L Alu tanks.(Photo with 2,5L Steel) Called it MGK 35 but dived it also a few meter deeper. But it's one out of a series of one![]() Cheers Oswald PS: A very nice, small rebreather is that from the girlfriend of seppu based on a TR300 with carbontanks, looks good, there should be some photos here on rebreatherworld Last edited by gerstl_ossi : 1st May 2008 at 08:58. |
