![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | seeking white paper contributors Hello Rebreather World folks, In fall 2007, I was elected to serve on the Board of DIrectors for the Society for Human Performance In Extreme Environments (HPEE). THe HPEE (HPEE - Society for Human Performance in Extreme Environments). The HPEE is a non-profit, interdisciplinary forum for scientists, practitioners, operational personnel, students, and other professionals with expertise and interest in human performance in complex, high stress, and demanding environments and occupations. HPEE's mission is to lower the boundaries between scientific disciplines, to encourage collaboration between academic and applied domains, and discover new ways to use science and technology to push beyond the boundaries of human abilities. In brief, the HPEE is considering a special edition of its biannual Journal related to human performance in undersea exploration. We are seeking to gauge interest from potential contributors to this Journal issue. We would be seeking high quality, well-referenced, white papers that will be peer reviewed prior to publication. Any topic related to human performance in the undersea environment would be considered. Please consider that this would not be a good forum for photo/journalist works about expeditions, however papers about unique methods, equipment, or configurations utilized to improve human performance during a specific expedition would be welcomed. This is an excellent venue for those that are developing new Rebreather technologies to publish their work in a professional/technical journal. While we are in the early stages, we are simply looking to get a sense of who might contribute, and a brief idea of a topic. Once we collate this feedback, a specific solocitation for papers will be released. Please contact me directly at explore@oceanopportunity.com if such a journal is of interest. regards ML
