Hi Stephane,
Those Tecme's tanks are the ones that i've been looking.
How they work untherwater? floting a lot? need any especial atention?
Thanks for your answer.
Mikel
Hello Mikel,
Well, to be honest, I don't know how they float because I had them mounted on the machine! But I added a 2kg weight on the top and it helped a lot to have a better trim.
If the tanks are enclosed in a case (à la Inspiration), no special care has to be taken. If not, well, try not to bang them to often!

Does anyone know if:

a. Composite cylinders have in fact been approved for diving anywhere in the world;

b. There is a risk of delamination if used for diving.

Take a look at this page from Interspiro (former AGA, maker of the famous FFM). I use this system when I dive at work, and I must say it´s really neet. So great to get the weight detached in the water, and then climb the ladder lika a ballerina

That was the OC talk, and this is an Rebreather forum so I think I better post somthing conserning RB´s allso:

The Interspiro (AGA) Rebreathers:

DCSC Semiclosed Keyed Rebreather
Interspiro DCSC

OxyDive Closed Oxygen Rebreather
Interspiro Oxydive

Re: Composite tanks bouyancy

From what I have been able to find out is the Interspiro tanks are the only composite SCUBA tanks with an unlimited life. Unfortunatly they are not approved for use in the USA.Luxfer makes the only DOT composite SCUBA tanks. They have a 15 year life, just like the SCBA and Paintball composite tanks. Unfortunatly the smallest one is 80cf so probably only suitable for the RB80 or similar on long dives. The Luxfer composite SCUBA tanks are made differently than the composite SCBA and Paintball tanks. The resin is different to handle the water exposure at depth. Personally, I would not have a problem with using composite Paintball tanks in a revreather if they were enclosed to prevent scratching.BTW, the Interspiro are all composite except for the stainless steel neck and are normally used with a removable V weight between the tanks to become neutral.Almost all USA composite tanks have an Aluminum liner, not steel.
