constant ip reg??

hey guys, can the dive rite rg 1208 first stage be converted to a conspant ip reg by just adding the blanking plug like in the ds4's ?? the one i have now already has the cold water kit. thanks for the help

Does it have a mushroom shaped plastic piece under the environmental seal? I think removing that will have the same effect.

Dave,

Harcus's just had 1/8" of the tip of the plastic cut off on his 1st stage plastic "T". Shorting it enough so it does not touch the diaphram.

No need to buy a blanking plug. If you have a look at the plastic "T" the end tapers off like a step. Cut it off with a dremel saw or small saw were it steps down.

I hadn't noticed myself, it's probably a good thing though, as an 1/8" off the tip doesn't really affect things being so "Big" and all.

Nah...it IS important to make sure it doesn't touch the diaphragm, what would happen if that diaphragm were to be punctured? One could become "partially IP'd"
