Advice as to O2 Clean parts?

hello guys,

just wondering. i know that for some might seem like a silly question, but i have recently purchased two 34L tanks which one is 200bar of O2 and the other i plan to have 200 or air. the aim is to have a booster and to avoid going the the dive centre for fills after each dive.

Now, i needed to create some adaptors, in order to fit to the valves, or whip hoses, but i was told they need to be O2 clean.

What is the advice on how to do them?what is your technique? like to share it?

Thanks in advance.

This is going to probably raise some controversy but I will give you my thought on O2 cleaning. If you are using new parts/fittings I would wash them in a dishwasher with a good soap to degrease them ensure that you use the extra rinse option to ensure that all of the soap is rinsed off. Then inspect all of the parts with a UV light to check for and hydrocarbons that may still be present. This should be enough to ensure that the parts are clean enough for service. You also must make sure that you are using the proper valves (multi turn) and that all soft seals and lubricants are compatible with HP O2. This in my opinion should serve as appropriate O2 cleaning for the type of service you are intending. If you are not comfortable with this then I suggest sending them away for professional cleaning but be prepared to pay$$$ for that service. Just my opinion of course
