![]() | Re: New cave and deep cave exploration Thailand Just got back from the bottom less cave. Cedric and DrMike led the way, I followed a ways behind them. The old line left off at 120 meters and today they added new line to around 145 meters deep. Cedric said he would have gone a ways farther but did not see anything to tie off on, bottom time was getting short. Nothing was to be seen at this depth the room was that large. The deeper you got the better the viz got, quite amazing. Tomorrow???????? andibk |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: New cave and deep cave exploration Thailand Ahhh Mystery solved - Warm fuzzy narcosis had me convinced I turned at 150m depth. Upon surfacing my VR3 showed 145m and I just figured I must have been narked and turned early. That Narcosis must have just worn off now as I just realise of course my VR3 reads in sea water not fresh. So we did reach our target depth of 150m today after all Now if I wasnt hobbling around like an old man feeling like a shaken bottle of coke Id be a happy man [fizzzzzzzzz]

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: New cave and deep cave exploration Thailand Other option Mike is that the VR3 didn't record the -150m if you were there for less than 10 sec (record intervall) but be reassure it would keep it in mind to calculate your deco ![]() So what's the temp at the bottom ? And more questions if you don't mind: 1) one dil gas all the way or different off board dil on the way up 2) wich PPo2 for travelling, bottom, and deco Thks Jerome |

Jerome To be honest I didnt check (or notice) the temp at the bottom - I certainly didnt feel chilly during the descent. But Cedric could see my HID light beam shaking as I shivered during deco at 48m. I dont think Id be able to do much more in this cave without my drysuit.

We used 11L off board dil 8/65 all the way with no switch. Set point 1.3 for whole dive pumping it up to 1.6 during last half of 6m stop.
