does anyone have any suggestions for back-up light placement on a Evolution? can't seem to find a good spot

Normal placement works just fine. It' just kind of sits on the side. Alternatively, the inside of your chest area is really good, but you have to move your SPGs to the outside in that case.

A pair of Tobin's (Deep Sea Supply's) under-counterlung D-rings work WAY better than the stock harness. They make stage bottle placement a snap, and they also make backup light placement a bit easier, too...or anything else that would hang off the chest d-rings.
