Hope this gets back on topic. Don't care what you call it. A man has passed. Knowing the unit. Sometimes helps. Sometimes not. But at this point. It is about all we know. |

| PRISM DIVER & LUVIN IT! Current Rebreather/s: | Re: CCR Death in Florida I lost my dear friend on March 10 2005, during a CCR dive. At first I was extremely angry, looking to blame and searching for answers. Well now I am just sad and I miss him. I have been able to get passed the blaming stage and except the fact that G-d works in mysterious ways. I hope his loved ones will be able to do the same. My condolences to all.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: CCR Death in Florida My deepest condolences to Zaks friends and family. This all really hits home for me. I hope we (as a diving community) can all stop for a moment and listen and perhaps learn. This can happen to any of us (regardless of the unit or OC or CCR for that matter). The attitude of I’m a good diver and I do my checks and monitoring and this will not happen to me is dead wrong. Zak was an excellent diver. So before I get off my soap box remember this always keep an open mind and ear and keep learning and try and be safe. May you rest peacefully Zak Jones. |

![]() ![]() | Re: CCR Death in Florida Deepest Condolences to Zak's family and friends for the loss. It's never good to find out about a friend over the internet. Especially not a fellow diver. I recently lost a friend in NZ. I found out about Nigel Lees by reading it on the internet and it's really not a pleasant sensation. I'd rather know than not so.........evils of the internet I'm afraid Hopefully Zak is at peace now. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: CCR Death in Florida It's so sad to hear about anyone passing on from diving. We dive because we love the activity. I can't find many places I would rather be than deep on some broken ship. I would imagen that If Mel knew Zak, and Knowing Mel, Zak must have loved to dive, and explore underwater. CCR is just the next phase in expanding that love. I take a risk, (and so does everyone else) everytime is get geared up and jump in the water, wether CCR, OC (sorry to swear) or somethink else. I take the risk, because its worth it to me. It most likely was for Zak too. No one on CCR, who has been trained properly would ever say that diving CCR is very dangerous, Fun yes, but Dangerous. When all the problems you may have come with Death as a result, Dangerous is the word. PS. Mel Thanks For the Pics on the Kamloops. |

![]() | Re: CCR Death in Florida Can anyone tell me how to contact Robyn, even if privately? Zak worked here for over a year and this was Robyn's first home after they were married, and the staff who worked with Zak and knew Robyn would like to express their condolences to her. |
