Fatality in Devil's Eye Spring...

...yesterday, March 10.
The victim was using a Meg rebreather and sidemounted 100's as dil/bo, with several emergency bob's staged in the cave. He was exploring way back beyond the Henkle Restriction, past another "rebreather off" restriction.
He was found at about the 3300 ft. penetration point, I am told.
The victiom was recovered this morning by local recovery teams.

Re: Fatality in Devil's Eye Spring...

Very tragic news indeed. My condolences to family members and all those who knew him. My understanding is that the IUCRR and Ken Hill will be releasing more information on the recovery, suspected cause of death, and other verifiable details as they become available. Hopefully, we will be able to learn something from this terrible tragedy.
