| Re: A Tale of Two Co2 incidents Question: Why is medical sorb even being sold to divers? But on the other hand, there are probably one or even two hand full of divers here on the board who use Spherasorb. Yes, it is Medical Sorb, (not low-flow!) and I have used Spherasorb myself and I never had any negative experiences with it. In any case, if there's a choice between medical and diving sorb to use in an OH environment, I'll not repeat previous practise and would now choose the latter. |

| Multi-Circuit Meg Monkey! Current Rebreather/s: | Re: A Tale of Two Co2 incidents Thanks for the write up M8Y. Always excellent to have more real world experiences. Glad everyones ok. A question: I remember when you first showed me your FFM and we'd talked about bailing out just by breathing through your nose with a 2nd stage plugged into the side of the mask. Do you not find this sustainable? Have you found it still necessary to then switch to another gas source? Seb

Spoken like someone who has never tried shipping 20Kg packages of irritant chemical, and has never dealt with partially competent courier/shippers, and customs agents, and has always had the luxury of being in a highly urbanized environment![]() . No offence but try living in the boonies somewhere way outside your own border(s). |

| PROTEC MEXICO ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: A Tale of Two Co2 incidents yo The medical sorb used during that dive was - MALLINCKRODT MEDICAL - out of St. Luis, USA. The medical sorb is at times the only sorb we can get here locally inside Mexico without importing our own, which we do by the pallet. I have used that particular medical sorb for some time, never deep, never cold, never long, mostly in an axial canister with never a problem. I am just totally glad and happy that nothing serious happend on that dive. greetings Matt |
