I read on plongeur.com that someone trying a rebreather in their demo pool had an accident.

Does one of you have news?

Hi,

I'm just wondering how deep this Demo Pool is exactly. I don't think it's unsual to test a unit in a swimming pool and sometimes with new students problems happen because of different aspects.

Best Regards. Wael

The pool is approximately 1.5m deep (5 feet).
They use SCR exclusively: Dolphin, UBS40 and Submatix.
I asked a friend who works there if he could have some more precise news.

Does it really matter?

Not much detail except for an apparent speculation of a CO2 hit. Could've just as easily been (or more likely) a hypoxia event. CCR's in swimming pools are very dangerous, especially if not being continuously supervised!

Hi,

Of course it matters, as I believe every small aspect matters really. But as I said previously that it's not something unusual especially on Try-Dives.
