| PRISM diver ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Blown o-ring on O2 regulator A couple of moments of excitement yesterday - a blown o-ring on the O2 reg on my wife's PRISM 52 minutes into the dive, at a depth of about 60 FSW. It was a sudden and complete failure. The PRISM uses Scubapro MK IIs - pretty much as dead-simple a regulator as you can get. The o-ring which let go is the 015 on the inside of the DIN handwheel. I've had one blow on the boat when opening the valve, but this time it was underwater. We made it back to the exit (about a 20 minute swim) by feathering the O2 valve and flying the unit manually; bailout deployed but not used. I cleaned and rebuilt the regulator and O2 plumbing system on her rig when we got home yesterday afternoon.
