Guys, the diver was a Rebreather World member, he will post a full report with all relevant details once he gets his unit back, works out what happened, and has dealt with the Workplace Health and Safety investigation.

Please try and keep the BS, rumours, and WAG's (wild-arse guesses) outta here till we get the details.

He has been for two precautionary chamber rides (one last night, one today), with no symptoms of DCI shown. He was released from hospital this afternoon.

Unit was a Megaladon with APECS electronics.

As I said previously, these are all the facts we have at the moment, the diver will post the rest when he's ready.

In the meantime, absolutely HUGE thumbs up / kudos to his two buddies (Jason Blackwell and Myron Wintonyk), and the crew of Sunreef for the rescue, resuss, and quick response.

Huge thankyou to both the local (Energex) rescue chopper and the local paramedics. The chopper was landing at the boat ramp as we arrived back from the wreck. That was just a 15 minutes travel time!!!!!

SA Dave is correct. The diver in question intends to post his account when he gets his head around what has just happened. I’m just glad he is still with us.
