![]() | Re: Australian Incident OK, the full version is going to have to wait until I do some more research then get WH&S finalised, however the short version is that I had an O2 hit at 25% CNS clock. The rebreather was working fine, but there appears to have been another factor in play, which the final report will focus on. The full report will be put on here, Diveoz, and as many databases as I can find. This will not happen for another week or two, however, Thanks to Jason & Myron for the rescue & all the medical staff involved, Thanks, Robert So Rob ... three months now and we are still waiting, what's the problem, can you put a bit more light on the reason for the problem if only to avoid others repeating your mistake. regards Baz |

How do you know that the diver made a mistake? I am just saying that there seems to be O2 hits that occur even with low CNS-loading...regards Baz I know because I have had one of those... |

Yes off course it would be usefull to hear a report of what happened. But it might be that there is no clear reason for the O2 hit... I did not find one for my hit, there were some possible causes but nothing bulletproof. |

This incident combined with previous incidents has pretty well made it impossible to use rebreathers on commercial boats in Queensland with most operators completely shunning their use. Mistake or otherwise, I think it fair we all find out a little more about what happened if only to stop wild conjecture but more importantly to allow others to learn from what happened.

![]() | Re: Australian Incident I would love to know if the problem has anything to do with the injection rates on these units ??? When Fred Evens died all we got back via the grape vine was that all three cells were voltage limited, I for one don't rate that at all. What S/W release number was Rob's or Fred's unit working on ?? I believe that 2.01J is being upgraded to 2.01K due to problems with the 0.25 per second solenoid injection, is this correct ??? I also understand that S/W version 2.50 will be released in about a month, is this also correct and what are the benefits of this release ... anyone know?? An injection rate problem may explain Rob's problem but it looks like we will never know due to this cone of silence around this and poor Fred's incidents. Any constructive input welcome .... regards Baz |
