| Re: New HUD/Display for KISS and other RBs Looks very interesting. Its a shame you have to open it to calibrate the unit, but Im very impressed by the build quality.

| EXPLORER ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: New HUD/Display for KISS and other RBs Nice report Harry. Are these units shipping to the unwashed masses yet? Yes I believe so. Easy to contact Jason through his website and he responds quickly.RAL The cal button on the back is accessed through a port plug so it it robust but like the on/off function, he has chosen to eliminate switches to decrease flood risk. The trade off is some loss of versatility. Arfetr using the breather turn off the O2 and breath the loop down below 0.4. The unit will then turn off in 6 mins...quick and easy. But I would probably prefer to be able to turn the displays on more easily without having to prime to loop with O2 to get the loop >0.4. Pros and cons and time will tell! |

| Re: New HUD/Display for KISS and other RBs The easy solution is making the threshold programmable by the user. Some might like to turn it on/off at 0.3, and some at 0.5 for example... Or may be even magnetic switch ?

Could be fooling myself though....I hope I won't forget one day, and the battery will be completely drained... ![]()

| Re: New HUD/Display for KISS and other RBs ...then flush the loop to make sure ppO2 is 0.21 to make sure my cell live longer... I did that for the first couple of years diving CCR, then the following years had high PO2 in the loop the entire night before the dive and the entire day afterward until I cleaned the unit.I didn't see any difference in sensor life. Of course, there are people who "supposedly" remove their sensors, place in cold storage filled with Argon gas, etc to extend the life of the sensors... ![]()
