| Proper Boffin ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Hose Routing pics Here are some pics of the hose routing I used. Here's a front on view showing the exit from the DSV, passing behind the neck to keep the hose tidy (it's almost like a DIR long hose routing !) You can also just see the end of the DSV connection going to the offboard whip..![]() Next one is that offboard connection detail.. ![]() And the onboard connection detail ![]() Here's an overall shot with the routing highlighted... onboard ![]() ...and offboard ![]() |

| Who loves ya, baby ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: DiveMatics OC/CC DSV (BOV) Write-Up Mike, the library isn't online yet. We'll also get some new software to create articles which should make that process easier.

![]() | Re: DiveMatics OC/CC DSV (BOV) Write-Up Hi, Very interested article. I have some questions: -What about Jaw fatigue?. Is similar than the standard DSV or more? -The quick conection. It's normal BCD size? Or like Air II or Bigger? -Can you send pictures about the male hose? Some people said that normal BCD size no flow under 45m. |

Here's some more info on the questions you had: Quote: (Originally Posted by Jordi Mateo) -What about Jaw fatigue?. Is similar than the standard DSV or more? Using the MantaBite mouthpiece the jaw fatigue is not noticably more than the std DSV - the weight of the DSV is supported by your whole mouth rather than having to hold it in your teeth, I've not used the DSV with a standard bite mouthpiece so can't comment on that. Out of the water, it IS heavy, and I either hold it, or rest it on the counterlungs when prebreathing. In the water, it's not really noticable.Quote: (Originally Posted by Jordi Mateo) The quick conection. It's normal BCD size? Or like Air II or Bigger? The Quick Connect is an AP GCS connector (which is the same as the Buddy AutoAir fitting - more info available on their website, under Rebreathers/Accessories/GCS). It's considerable larger than a BCD or Drysuit connector. When there is NO gas pressure in the hoses, it's easy to connect and release, but when gassed up, it's VERY difficult to connect (easy to disconnet though). I think they're rated for breathing applications up to 50m for air. My findings are that with a trimix diluent, I can breath reasonably happily at 70m.Can you send pictures about the male hose? Some people said that normal BCD size no flow under 45m.[/ |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: DiveMatics OC/CC DSV (BOV) Write-Up I have bought the GCS connectors for my Evo, but haven't install them yet so I have a simple question... I thought I had read briefly somewhere that the GCS is a one-direction connector ? If it is true, then the way you are connecting, it is a bi-direction flow depending on which device the manifold end is connected to (?) If it is not, never mind... ![]()
