![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Looking for a recommendation for a primary torch Green Force. Any combination of batteries, light head and umbilical. You can customize it. meets all your criteria. All light heads are tough as nails and modular/interchangeable. I have had mine for 3 years of hardcore wreck diving in the worst conditions without a problem. Dave |

I'm sending my pri Sartek off for service and upgrades. This DR LED will be in my kit shortly.

![]() | Re: Looking for a recommendation for a primary torch The OMS light I have been using is the L197. This light you can mount on the waiste harness or on the backplate if you like. Never had any problems such as leaking or anything else. Well worth the money spent. andibk |

I'm sending my pri Sartek off for service and upgrades. This DR LED will be in my kit shortly. I am looking at this light, I dive in the english channel on wrecks so sometimes only a couple of meters viz. I currently use a UKD4R (18watt xenon) I and am looking for an umbilical torch. Budget of around £450. I was looking at buying a salvo rebel 10 watt HID focusable from the states. But then I found this little number! How do find yours? Regards Nigel |

| New Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Looking for a recommendation for a primary torch Hi, I currently own a GreenForce HID50 and a Tristar Plus. HID50 is brighter than the Tristar Plus but I am much more careful with the HID than the LED. The Tristar Plus is plenty bright for the caves. As said previous, very interchangable, twist-on activation at head or battery, whichever you prefer. Burn time on both meets your criteria but the LED gets far more burn time on a charge. Charge time, 15mins - 2hrs, depending on battery state. Batteries are sealed units. Hope this helps. Tyler |

If so, what do you think? I'm holding a TillyTec LED W30 (flashlight style) right now that has 300 lumens. It compares very well with my DiveRite 10W HID (DR says that has 500 lumens). Can't wait to hear/see how the DR 500 (lumens) LED compares. If good, I'm getting out of the HID primary business. Bill |
