New LED Cannister Light

After 10 years my Cannister HLX Light get WET in Hemmoor at 35meters.
I did a long search in the www and then i buy a mb sub LED cave light. I did the first use at Blaustein See near Aachen. The Cannister is small one and comes with the webbing straps to mount it over the chestbelt. To charge the rechargeable Li Mg battries i must unsrew the end of the light head. In the inside i find a phono plug. This is the connection for the light and for my charge plug. The charger need 4 hours to charge the batteries completly. The LED have the same problem as the HID lights, in water with bad vis (i mean with many particles in the water) it seems you dive in milk. It is possible to dim the LED down to 75% light power. When i donīt use the head i use the parking psoition at my right shoulder D-Ring. Together with the secondary display.
The manufacturer said the following tech. data:
Burntime at 100% 6 hours / 75% 9 hours
21 Watt LED
9,6 AH Li Mg rechargable Batterie
More Infos at mb-sub.com

I have pay the normal price as shown on the Homepage. I have a long talk with M. Bienhaus and i get NOTHING from him for these text and the pics.

Thanks for posting this.
2 questions :
Where is the on/off switch ?
How does the lamp compare to say a 10w HID in terms of a)focus and b) brightness ?
Cheers

Hello Steve,
the on/off switch with a third position for only 75% power ison the head.
It is a switch ring with a inserted magnet and ball with spring. If you use the LED head in the PHOTON, the operation is only with the thumb (see picture)
If you use the LED-head with the cannister and the Goodman-handle, for operation you must turn the head in the GH.

The light beam should be the same like in the REBEL by Salvo, because i believe its the same reflector. The brightness should be between the 12W Rebel and the 21W Rebel, because our LED works with 16W.

Michael
Thanks for that.
More questions :
Does the spring ball 'lock' the ring in the required position ? Is it strong enough to stop the head twisting off while in use ?
Is the clip/ring on the goodman strong enough to stop the head coming out of it while in use ?

Thanks
Steve

Steve

the ball with string gives you only a feeling for the position. The sit of the head in the GH is really strong, you need some power to turn the head in the clip. The hold in this GH is really strong, to separate the head from the GH against your will is absolutly impossible.

Re: New LED Cannister Light

Michael thanks for answering the questions.

When i turn the light on it is impossible to turn it out by themself. The seat of the head in the GH is very strong. And the head is light enough to mount it at the park position and at the back of my hand. And i donīt feel the cannister when mounting at the chets belt near the BP, great...
Sorry for the poor pictures.
