Veecam settings

Hi,

I received my Veecam few weeks ago and it will have its first dive this week-end. Has anybody come up with the best settings for underwater filming?

I am planning on trying mine out this weekend also...

I know that Mark Chase has one... Not sure if he has gotten his wet yet or not...

Sorry not enough time on it to advise anyone on anything just yet.

Presently I have it set to best quality as I have no need to record longer than three hours. I will be experimenting with this over the next few weeks Hopefully on the Ice maiden Friday then in France again for four days. This weeks three day French trip was canceled

hi i was wondering, where do you buy a veecam... i'm going diving in agust and i would like to have one handy. i know they're great but WHERE DO I BUY ONE???? lol, yeah if someone could p.m. me where to buy one that'd be nice i'll be checking every day. THANKS!

you go on line at vee cam .com i had 2 fail in 4 dives and ive just got my money back i would wait until there a tried and tested bit of kit i was not impressed

hello maddog, what kind of problems?
and more important, what was the quality of the image you got?? friend of mine will take one with him on a +100m dive next month

First experience!

I fitted the camera stand on the right strap of my mask and use it for a 2 hour MOD 1 training session.

For me the main purpose of the Veecam is videoing the student so that I can relieve the DM from this task!

The camera worked well, I was in top quality resolution, manual setting and the white balance set to DIVE. Visibility was not good and it showed on the video, but no focus problem. Veecam created one file for every 15 minutes.

I need to improve the position of the camera. 1) mask slighlty cutting the image 2) since it is on the side the subject is off centerd 3) when knealing on the bottom and looking at the student, subject head is cut off.

Bottom line camera need to be centered and on top of my head mounted on a helmet or something similar.

Salut Paul,

Quality seems OK although I only check it on the little screen of the Veecam, need to download the file and check it on a PC. Also we were in less then 10m. so ambiant light was fairly good, sunny day too. Over the next few day I'll try to get a sample out so you can make you own idea.
