Someone should design and market something to fit the average BOV.

On which note, a quick question. I'd like to get a gag strap and I've seen these around a few times Dräger Mundstück mit Kopfband | Online Shop | W+S Water Safety Europe GmbH | Seit 1999. Does anyone know whether these will fit a KISS BOV? Any positive or negative experiences?

The main driver is in case of a tox, but reducing fatigue and the risk of having that huge BOV (especially now it has the Proton on it) kicked out of my gob would be nice side effects.

Cheers,

I've just fitted that exact mouthpiece/gag to my kiss bov. It fits around the mouth opening of the bov without any problem, just use a small ziptie so you don't feel it with your lips. Not as comfortable as my previous mouthpiece - which had a palate thingy - this one requires a little bit more tooth grip, but with the gag it stays in place. The gag isn't necessarily easy to fit with thick gloves though.

Many thanks for that - I think I'll order one and give it a try. Good point about fitting with thick gloves - I guess I'll have to learn to leave them until the very last thing.

Cheers,

Re: Jaw Fatigue

Thanks for the input. I will try adjusting the weights a bit. the unit I am using is the Evolution and I don't believe SeaCure has a mouthpiece designated for this unit.

When you refer to a neck strap are you referring to a necklace?

Thanks Again.

Re: Jaw Fatigue

According to SeaCure they do not Offically make a mouthpiece for the Evolution. I spoke to them this morning.

Re: Jaw Fatigue

I don't have any hose weights on mine so the BOV doesn't feel like it's hanging in my gob.

If you do then order it from Tecme, W&S's shipping costs to the UK are horrendous for small orders, 25euro standard charge or something like that. I spoke to them before when I just wanted a p-port body and they wouldn't reduce the charge.

Many thanks for the steer - I'll try Martin.

Re: Jaw Fatigue

Hi,

I have never tried Seacure before as I have Apeks Comfort Bite, but here's a question for those who have tried both. Is the comfort level higher using Seacure? Another question, anyone is using it with the Inspiration unit?

Best Regards. Wael
