Omni Isolation Valve

Hi,

I'm just after some info on the streamlined Omni isolation valve.

Golem Gear, Inc. - Isolation Valve Shut-off - 3/4" O.D

I currently use the AP one on my inspo ADV, though I don't like it because it doesn't have a positive/negative lock (or at least something that grips in each position).

I know the bulkier Omni valve does this nicely, though it looks too big for the Inspo ADV.

Can anyone shed some light on the smaller version or perhaps an alternative?

thanks, damien

Re: Omni Isolation Valve

I use these. They work exactly the same as the one inch shut offs. It is just the outer grip size that is smaller.

Actually, I haven't checked the interior diameter of one versus the other. However, I believe that it is the same. So, you might want to double check that.

Re: Omni Isolation Valve

I swapped the standard APD shut off to the Omni one for just that exact reason. It 'locks' real well and doesn't slide or shut off accidently.

Not Jakub. Spoke with the owner/inventor of Omniswivel @ Innerspace last year. He was there for the whole week looking at how CCR divers used his products.
He brushed the back of his hand on my AP shut off and it moved easily. Joe made his so it took some effort. I think with the internal O-rings, but not sure.

I have some of the 3/4" isolators as well as the 1" and mine work in the opersite direction to each other with regards to turning on and of the gas supply.

Is this a design change?

I just got one of the one inch shut-offs, and mine works in the same direction as my three-quarter inch.
