![]() | Re: Heated Under Vests Mike, Have you considered looking at the Forth Element Arctic equipment? Fourth element In the winter I wear a full set under a weezle extreme and can do 90 minutes in 7-8 degrees no problem. John

| Customise Me! Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Heated Under Vests I second that. The Q-Vest is a really great product and well made. I have yet to use step 3 as this is very hot (even in 4 degree celcius water). Cheers Morten I use to have the Typhoon but had some issues with wires breaking at the drysuit plugs, also temperature was just OK but you can not change it, also burntime is just around 60minutes. I have now changed to the Golem Q-Vest and it is great. No need for special hole since you just change your drysuit injection valve. THe vest can be turned OFF-ON from the battery as well as 3 different level. I use mainly level 1 and 2. 3 is really hot and will only use it for 1-2 minutes when I need to roast a bit more... Really great vest. The battery pack is given for about 3 hours obviously depending on the level selected. I did not had the opportunity to do much testing on the burntime yet. |

![]() | Re: Heated Under Vests The Golem Gear Q-vest is awesome. I just used it for a couple of hours the other day in 40F water and was nice and toasty. |

| CK+Shearwater ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Heated Under Vests I like the sound of these heated undersuit systems, now that they are reasonably flood safe and long lasting my remaining question would be over decompression. Does/will heating the torso, drawing blood closer to the surface into different tissues have an effect in a DCI incident? Is there any experience from the commercial sector with their hot water suits indicate there is more/less/no risk from heating?
