![]() | Re: sofnolime tech sheet thanks for that. I was looking for slightly different info. Basically I'm interested in Sofnolime efficiency depending on granularity, temperature etc. Regards Piotr |

| Who loves ya, baby ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: sofnolime tech sheet Misunderstood your inquiry, sorry about that. There is a maximum amount of CO2 Sofnolime can absorb under ideal conditions in a lab setup, the number is floating around somewhere. But it's only good to keep Rebreather manufacturers in check (i.e. their RBs cannot have longer duration/higher efficiency than that). As far as rebreathers are concerned, the design and size of the scrubber is as much a factor to the duration/efficiency as the ambient temperature, ambient pressure, respiratory minute volume, CO2 addition rate etc. In other words, the data I think you're looking for is unit specific. I doubt that sorb manufacturer has done broad testing with any actual rebreathers, at least I haven't heard of it. Couple of people here on the board would probably know. Few Rebreather manufacturers can afford broad testing of their units under all varying conditions (factors), and fewer again release the data, much less all of it. But there are some numbers available for a couple rigs under various conditions, and several rigs under the same conditions. Rebreather Comparison Chart shows some test results from several units tested under the same condition. Gives an idea as to the efficiency of different scrubber designs (note that the scrubber fill capacity of the rEvo is a bit off). Not Sofnolime, but data from Dräger (DiveSorb 5-9 mesh) and Micropore (ExtendAir cartridges) ... shows effects of changes in test factors on duration. Micropore/Optima test results at various depths, temperatures and flow rates. Dräger Canister Duration for their Dolphin and Ray SCRs when using their DiveSorb under different conditions. Not much, and not exactly what I think you're looking for, but I hope it's some helpful information.
