QC6 to LP hose adaptor

Hello,

Can someone point me to the swagelok partnumber for an adaptor for the 1/4 NPT male of a QC6 connector to the connector of a standard LP hose?

I thought the hose connector was 9/16, but the adaptors I got look like they are not designed for O-ring sealing (they cut the O-ring in half and the connection doesn't swivel anymore) but for Teflon thread wrapping instead (don't know how it's called in English)

Cheers,
Davy

Re: QC6 to LP hose adaptor

Hi Davy,

You will find it at Undersea (Undersea Ltd - Serving the diving industry since 1970) under reference 5045H.
That's a reusable hose fitting with a 1/4MNPT end. Just perfect.

What is the part number of the QC6 connector you have?

Thanks Stephane, I'll check it out.

I believe the QC6 I have are these: SS-QC6-D-4PM
But not sure.
I also have a couple of Parker QC6 which work perfectly with swagelok parts BTW.
Unfortunately I can't get any Parker parts locally anymore.
(unless I order large quantities)

Re: QC6 to LP hose adaptor

Send a photo of exactly what you have and it can be sorted out. Post a photo of the hose laying next to the fitting and it's easy to give advice. Words don't always give the precise needs.

Advice for the QC series QD buyer: Buy them with the 1/4 NPT FEMALE port, not anything else. Adapting to that is lots easier, and with one part it can be taken to the fitting that a second stage (regulator end) hose fits to (swivels too), or to anything else. When you buy a male end on it... it is always awkward to adapt to.

Re: QC6 to LP hose adaptor

i was looking attaching a qc6 to a low pressure hose also, but didnt like using the adapter, so this is what the end result is, the qc6 directly screws into the female side of low pressure hose, no modifications made to the low pressure hose.

Hi Dave,

Thanks, I will take a picture once I get home again. (can take a week)
For now another description
I have 2 extra male QC6 connectors with male 1/4" NPT connection that I want to screw into a standard regulator hose.
(so that I can plug it into a WKPP style switchblock, and still be able to swap the connector with a normal OC regulator, or take the connector from an empty bottle and put it on a "normal" stage bottle during the dive)

Now that I come the think of it, I have once ordered a QC6 assembly from Christoph Hellwig, the builder of the tourill pSCR.
Wassersport-Hellwig
And he has a nice adaptor and a picture on his website.
I hope he doesn't mind me copying it here.
Maybe I should ask him for just the adaptor pieces

Re: QC6 to LP hose adaptor

At the risk of being a luddite, a hose barb adapter an a couple of o-clips works in an emergency.
