![]() | Neoprene Dry Gloves I don't like cuff-rings with gloves like my grandma uses, so I use wet-gloves in summer and three finger mitts in winter. That's OK, but my fingers kind a die after 40 min in very cold water. On the northern diver site i saw NEOPRENE dry gloves. Does anyone use this kind of gloves and is it worth the purchase? ![]()

![]() | Re: Neoprene Dry Gloves Hey I tried them in Denmark, because I also love the idea. But I think they are to thin in the neoprene. it was very hard to get them not to leak. They only hold for like 2 months. So I was not happy about them and went back to th ering system. Claus |

If your fingers are kind of 'frickin' die after 40 minutes, dive with dry gloves (we use the blue gloves here mostly, better for durability, repair & communication). If you are wearing a DRY suit, dive with DRY gloves. After 60 minutes, your fingers will be thanking you. That's OK, but my fingers kind a die after 40 min in very cold water. I feel your pain, Weirdo - I'm not a huge fan of the ring system gloves myself; and usually go the wet in summer/mitt in winter route, also. That is until I was in Newfoundland, CA diving the Conception Bay wrecks (in the summer) and my run times were limited by when my hands would stop working. That's OK, but my fingers kind a die after 40 min in very cold water. On the northern diver site i saw NEOPRENE dry gloves. Does anyone use this kind of gloves and is it worth the purchase? A few years ago I bought a set of the latex-sealed dry gloves very similar to the ND ones you're asking about. My experience was that I wasn't a huge fan. They're very hard to get the seals to lay just right on top of your drysuit seals to prevent leaking ... especially the SECOND hand after you have the first one on. Plus you have to keep something between the two to equalize and keep the squeeze off your hands. Some people use straws, a small piece of felt, etc. but this is just more of a PITA. Long story short, I dumped them after a few tries and now have a set of the (removeable) ring system ones. Just my thoughts, hope it helps - others' experience may differ.

![]() | Re: Neoprene Dry Gloves I've used the Kevlar coated version from ND, pretty good with a pair of cotton gloves underneath. I gave up with them for two reasons, firstly the Kevlar takes the skin off your face as I habitually rub the bogies off my face after a dive, secondly, the first glove is dead easy to get on, the second is neigh on impossible and the same for getting them off. Give them a go, what's the worst that can happen???
