He had a great, super compact conversion made out of a ray, I believe. Did not see him have a single problem with it. Ask him about his shark-calling technique Surprised I didn't see this last Summer when you posted it. Yes babar, Craig's shark calling technique has taken years off my life. He has a real knack for applying it in places where there are big animals who have never seen a human. I have sucessfully demonstrated the technique to several Indonesians and who never knew they had so many sharks in their area. I have heard great things about the Ray conversion, sounds like the ultimate simple, cheap recreational MCCR. After running his own liveaboard in the middle of nowhere for almost 20 years, Craig is skeptical of all but the most simple and robust gear... -Andy |

![]() | Re: Integrated Pillar Valve / First Stage? The Zeagle version can be pretty easily O2 cleaned. It's their standard "ReZort" piston first stage, turned 90 degrees with a tank neck thread. My instructor uses one for his O2 bottle for OC deco. Jim |

Have you taken it apart yet to see how hard it would be to convert it to a fixed Ip?Also could you shoot some pics and post them? Can you weight it? I dont want to get you in hot water with the manufacturer but they might not even be aware that this market exists. thanks kevin |

I can't speak for the Razor, I've never had one in my hands. The H2Odyssey one with the diaphragm is quite simple to fix the IP on. If you take the diaphragm cover off and pull the diaphragm out, it has a plastic plunger underneath, just like many regs. Pull the plunger out, clip off the little plastic stem, and the reg is basically fixed IP. Done. With extreme depth you could theoretically see some creep of IP due to the compression of the air under the diaphragm, but I would bet that it would be too small to worry about. Also could you shoot some pics and post them? Can you weight it? I dont want to get you in hot water with the manufacturer but they might not even be aware that this market exists. thanks kevin The little diaphragm valve/first stage is so tiny that it makes me laugh. I can't understand why all rebreathers don't use this type of system. The Russians may have had it right all along. Cheers, Jay
