Best Philippe the sealant you want is RTV-615.. this is a great insulator but more importantly it will cure in an air tight enviroment which typical silicon based sealants will not.. if the item you want to cure is exposed at some point to the atmosphere the prior suggestion would work.. be fore warned RTV 615 isnot cheap.. it runs about $100 per pint..

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Joe, Hope you'll pardon the silly question but, if RTV-615 will cure in an anaerobic environment, what keeps it from curing in the pot? Rob P.S.--Sorry, but it's late enough at night that silly questions just naturally occur!

This product is also optically clear (well pretty clear) so inspection of whatever is encased in the sealer is possible.. here is some info http://www.circuitspecialists.com/prod.itml/icOid/7615

Good stuff! I was thinking of a tube of the sealant, not a two-pot expoxy! (Sound of hand smacking forehead! )Rob

Looks like another $100 to be able to use the stuff. Or is the primer the part B or something? http://www.circuitspecialists.com/prod.itml/icOid/7904 Darlene The primer is not absolutely necessary... you need the primer if you intend to use it to join 2 materials together as the primary bond.. just the 2 part solution is necessary if you are going to use it for "sealing" |
