Dave Sutton will buy one- he promised to toast one with a jet during a static motor test for us last year and is yet to come good on his promise!

I have an old one here- anyone like to suggest a method of destruction? I will happily YouTube the results I have a large Industrial Shears at work... I figure cutting it in half with several 100 tonnes force would be pretty impressive or I could put it in a blender?

I have one as well. I'd been thinking of building a potato cannon for a while and this could provide the perfect launch vehicle for the Paragon.

Did, didn't I? And we just lost the chance... 68 flights in the MiG over the last three weeks and could have done it with ease. Bloody hell: I hate an opportunity missed and with Av-Kerosine now $7.00/gallon it's unlikely to be done anytime soon.....

Maybe simply giving one to the Dachshund/Doberman team here for a chew would work. They consume the little bits they gnaw off, and turning the POS into Dog-s h i t would be *so* poetic.

Dave

Re: Anyone sell me a used working paragon ?

I'm still using my Paragon. I've tracked down a service manual for it and service it (the o-rings don't seem to be lubed when it first arrives) and it works ok.

However I use it as a one or two breaths to get on to my bailout tank.

Janos

PS - Am considering swapping to the Mares, but am worried it might be bulkier and floatier than the Paragon.

It's a lot bigger and it's lighter in the mouth underwater. I'd say it's actually more comfortable on the jaw underwater than the Paragon is. Unless you're using a scooter then the size isn't that bad, on a scooter it does feel like there is a lot of drag.

It's a pleasure - it would only have sat in my cellar otherwise. Hope it works for you - remember, it came without a warranty

Cheers,

Having now dived mine properly (50m dives, 15 - 20 minutes of deco thanks to pesky OC diving buddies), I'd concur. It actually feels nicer, as it seems to have taken the edge off the weight of the mouthpiece. I didn't really have any jaw fatigue at all. It breathes very nicely too - richer and dryer than the Paragon ever was.

Haven't tried it with a scooter yet - anyone willing to lend me one? I promise to return it by the end of the season (or maybe in time for the start of next season ;-)

Cheers,

Good job Phil Do you also help your friends find their car keys when they are too drunk to do so themselves?
