![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Russian Uber DPV: Protei-5 for sale Here it is, I am hoping someone will buy it before the auction ends, import it to the West, and tell me how it flys. I imagine it will go to 1000 feet and do 4 knots. Dave Sutton supposedly has one, but he hasn't mentioned if he has dived it yet. Come on, let us live vicariously through you! Shipping can't be that bad, can it? I shipped a 50 kilo Zodiac hull from Seattle to Kauai and it was just over $100.00. ![]() ![]() addendum: the lower photo is linked from Dave Sutton's site. The one (still?!) for sale by the Latvian guy with an impeccable Ebay reputation is the exact same model, but not the same unit, as the one described on Dave's site. Sorry, Dave, for not giving you EXACT credit where credit was due. You have by far the best English description of this vehicle anywhere on the net. Actually the housing sans motor and batteries can be picked up with one hand very easily...say about 20-25 lbs max. Fully loaded........probably around 110-130 lbs. But for this you get an incredible range. Putting one together is my winter project

Since I already have a x scooter. I debated about it, but had the disposable cash and disposed of it. When the guys I dive with decide to buy "regular" scooters, I'll have to find some more disposable cash I guess.

DC, When the guys I dive with decide to buy "regular" scooters, I'll have to find some more disposable cash I guess.Looks cool, maybe we could just put a couple of short water ski ropes on the back and take turns driving. Got my Optima cert last week. When are you going to be ready to get wet again. Nemo |
