On other boards I've posted on they have a quick reply feature that always displays a box below the thread you are reading, which you can use to quickly reply to the thread. I really like using this feature, if others do too, maybe it can be implemented?

Or you could use the "New Reply" button at the bottom of the thread, just an extra click.
